Casting is the earliest metal thermal processing technology mastered by humans, with a history of about 6,000 years. What is Integrated Die Casting Technology?


The casting technique is very ancient, dating back to the Bronze Age, and die casting belongs to a type of casting, which has one more "syringe" (die casting machine) than casting in the traditional sense. After pressurization, more complex parts can be manufactured in one pass, so it is also called integrated die casting.



For the automotive industry, integrated die-casting technology is not new. As early as the 1950s, some companies introduced this technology into the production and manufacturing of auto parts, but the scope was limited to small parts, while Tesla expanded the scope to large parts.

The Advantage of Integrated Die Casting Technology


1. Weight reduction: Lightweight is a major trend in the development of the automotive industry. The application of integrated die-casting contributes to the realization of lightweight. Aluminum alloy has outstanding comprehensive cost performance and is the first choice material for lightweight automobiles. The lightweight of automobiles has driven the rapid growth of aluminum consumption in bicycles. The application of aluminum alloy die-casting in body and chassis structural parts and battery cases is expected to gradually increase.


2. Increased efficiency: Integrated die casting improves production efficiency by simplifying production processes and improving cycle times compared to existing production processes. The once processing time of a large die-casting machine is less than two minutes, 80-90 seconds can be completed, 40-45 castings per hour can be completed, and 1000 castings can be produced in a day.


3. Reduce costs: The application of integrated die-casting technology can reduce the cost of production, land, labor and so on. The manufacturing cost of the aluminum alloy integrated body has been reduced by 40% compared with the original.
